Are You Hiding?

Are you hiding who you are or who you want to be?
Have you ever felt that strange sense of embarrassment when you show your new self to the people that you’ve known for a long time?
You start a blog and you're worried about what some people close to you might think?
Or you decide to do makeup professionally but you're pretty sure a few of your friends are going to wonder why you aren't getting a real job.
What is that?
Why do we do that to ourselves?
We are excited about something that we have this newfound energy about but we feel like we have to protect it and keep it hidden.
How often do you do this to yourself?
What do you have going on inside you at this very moment that you aren't letting out?
Why aren't you doing it?
We know that the people who know us will have something to say about it.
For some reason we care enough to let it stop us.
Most often this is a just a perceived slight in our own minds because nobody actually gives a shit. The truth is that they are busy wrestling with their own identity.
How much better would we be collectively if we just let each other off the hook?
What if we didn't ask stupid questions and come from a place of concern when we saw someone stepping into a new path?
What if we defaulted to supporting people instead of questioning them?
No matter what you do someone is going to wonder ‘who the hell do you think you are?’
You don’t have time for those people who don’t support your growth.
I’m not who I used to be.
You shouldn't be either.
If I truly believe that I’m on the path that I want to be on and I’m doing the things that I want to do with my life...and if I’m energized by the person I am becoming then why the fuck would I hide it from anyone?
There are people you think about before you put your truth out there...they make you hesitate.
Audit them because that’s the hurdle between you and who you want to be.
The clock is ticking on your life and it would be a real shame if you let 'them' keep you where you are.
